Life is never easy for anyone but it’s simple. It consists of a lot more challenges than we could ever face but if we stop looking for problems and start to look at the solutions then our life becomes more enjoyable.
So, below I have some of the important learning that I gleaned from my previous years that have helped me to grow and make me strong through several battles in my life. I hope that you’ll find it useful and helpful.
Life is not a race: Through these couple of years, I realize that life is not meant to always run, although it’s necessary to keep moving ahead and forward for the sake of fulfillment, once in our life we need to sit back and enjoy the beauty of it.
Spending time with family, friends, and kids is the most exciting feeling that anyone could get. Learn to sit back for once in life and avoid that haste that’ll urge you to keep going for more and more for something that you already possess.
Learn to build something: Life has advanced and so have we. We need to learn this from our ancestors who have built new things continuously to pass the survival test and have transformed themselves into a better community.
Life is changing and in order to survive in this competitive world, we need to build new things, not for the sake of money but for the sake of Humanity.
Learn how to code.
Learning about marketing, writing, storytelling, etc.
This will eventually change your life.
Metaverse, Web3.0, and Crypto: One of the most important things that I’ve learned from the past years is the vast advancement of Web3.0 and cryptos.
What I think is that Web3.0/Crypto will have the biggest impact on this world but it’s early.
The point is that the vast majority of the big companies haven’t even expanded into the metaverse and in the next 10-20 years will still be placed in web2.
The software has just begun eating the world and I see a great opportunity there.
Getting into something feels scary: Getting into something, especially when it’s new feels scary sometimes - like what will be the consequences, or what if I face failure? but it gradually feels fine when we find the habit of it.
One more thing is that getting into something very early also feels scary the most but the price of starting late is always higher in the long run.
We have to pay the prices for everything: Things might cost us but there are some things for which we tend to pay the prices, even more, because that’s the most expensive in the long run. I am not talking about cash.
Let me make this clear. Example: Talking from the money point of view - in order to stay in the market for the long run you need to pay the price for the volatility. You can’t just day-trade and keep rushing from one stock or to the other. In order to survive for the long run and if you want to make something big, you need to pay the price for it. It’s better to pay for the volatility in the market rather than to face a big recession.
Learn these greatest skills of all time: Persuasion, decision-making, and storytelling are the most valuable meta-skills because they multiply the value of any other skills by several orders of magnitude.
Effectiveness and Efficiency: Effectiveness is more important than efficiency. It pays to learn to be very good at something before you try to scale it or automate it.
Premature optimization only leads to mediocrity.
Work on your weakness: Working on your weaknesses is a great way to make you strong and is also a great way to optimize your mediocrity.
Everyone has weaknesses, even the greatest of us.
It’s not the greatness that makes us wise, but our effort in turning our weaknesses into greatness.
Time is precious. So, utilize these precious hours to work on your weakness and turn it into the most important competitive advantage.
