Do you lack lots of required confidence and self-esteem ? Are you not able to crack any of your Interviews because of your low confidence , wisdom and virtues ? Don’t worry because this newsletter will help you to become what you aspire to be.
In this short , yet most Important newsletter , we will dive deeper into the concepts/principles of becoming more Intelligent today.
Let’s get started.
7/11 rule :
This rule is based on how people make assumptions of you on your first and new interactions with them.
Studies have shown that people make 11 assumptions about you by having the first 7 seconds of interactions with them.
They are more focused on knowing very deep and obscure things about you. Things like :
Economic Status
Trust Worthiness
Work-ethic , trustworthiness and more.
Actually , the point is that your first impressions matter . So make your first impressions good by pretending that it might be your last Impression.
So be passionate , authentic and honest.
Speak with authority and Emotions :
Speaking with authority and with Emotions gives you the kick start to impact the words that you are going to say. It enriches the listener to give more heed to your voice and your words make a clear impact on them.
This is Simple :
Ever been in a room where two people say the same thing, yet one gets all the credit?
Here's why.
People who speak with authority & emotion are judged as being more intelligent.
Our brain says, "this person knows what they're talking about!"
KISS - (Keep It Simple and Stupid ) :
While giving your Interview or anything related to it , you need to have one thing clear in mind , and that is to make everything simple and avoid complicating things at first.
Big words, fancy jargon, & complex terms rarely have the intended effect.
They confuse your audience, make them stop listening, & your message is lost.
No one ever walked away puzzled, then praised the intelligence of the person delivering the message.
By giving your words simple and constructive , you give surety to what you are compelling to give and you get respected for what you speak.
Simple is Beautiful.
Look in the Eye while talking:
While talking to someone , look them in the eye with confidence . This makes them convicted and makes you look determined at what you are speaking about. People pay more attention to you when you look them in the eyes and listen more carefully about each word of yours .
This truly increases your confidence and makes you more Intelligent.
Besides , No one wants you staring a hole into their soul while they're trying to talk.
That said, eye contact matters.
A few seconds will do the trick.
Let the person know you're engaged, while not making them feel uncomfortable.
Less Talking and More Listening :
The Dalai Lama once said - “ We all have two ears and one mouth , so we should listen twice to what we say.”
It’s a very effective method to attract more people towards your way of thinking and make them more engaged with your talk.
Listen to every piece of advice and speak only at last when you are required to speak , unless not.
Everyone wants to be heard. But do you know what smart people do .
They listen.
Closing your mouth & opening your ears accomplishes more than you think. Try it.
The person you're engaging with will notice & be more inclined to listen to your point of view when the time comes.
You’re not an Expert :
Like the above thing being said , remember that you are not an expert in every field.
Every individual is not perfect in each and every thing .
If you are not good at something , admit that you are not perfect at these , but make this attitude to learn this skill and prove to everyone that you will conquer this skill.
Don't be afraid to admit where your knowledge is lacking & ask for help.
As Aristotle once said, "The more you know, the more you realize you don't know."
